All U.S. Auto Sales vehicles undergo an extremely thorough, 172-point inspection before sale. That means you can rest assured that you’re purchasing a high-quality vehicle. Below, you can learn more about our inspection process and what you can expect from our vehicles.
All of our vehicles go through a 172-point mechanical inspection based on industry-standardized work. The inspection is performed by not just one technician but two, to ensure that nothing is missed. All of our technicians are qualified and experienced. At U.S. Auto Sales, our teams have had over 30 years of inspecting every pre-owned vehicle that comes through our lot using our builder/inspection model.
To perform the quality inspection itself, our team uses manufacturer diagnostic equipment and support. The technicians performing the inspection follow a very specific guide that lists every step they should take and provides them with an area for notes, so they can jot down any issues that they see. Each step of the process has them inspect one part of the vehicle and mark any defects as they go. Repairs to the vehicle are then made as needed.
The process our used vehicles go through starts right when they arrive at one of our locations. Every vehicle head through a minimum of six different areas, each of which has standardized quality assurance steps built into their processes to keep our vehicles in perfect condition. The six areas that every vehicle sees are receiving, inspection, cosmetic/sublet, build, final quality control, and allocation. Each of these six areas has a team of supervisors and team leads to validate quality and adherence to our mechanical and cosmetic standards.
When you purchase a used vehicle, you should always look for one that has been quality inspected by a trained technician and that has any repairs done before sale. A warranty like we offer at U.S. Auto Sales is also important for your peace of mind. The benefit of buying an inspected pre-owned vehicle is that you shouldn’t have to deal with any surprise repairs in the infancy of ownership, your vehicle will look better, and your driving experience will go smoother.
